16 years is relatively young in the lifespan of a business, just as young as our newfound ‘FREEDOM’ and fledgling democracy. We are all still finding our voices and taking up space in this vastness, that which we call ‘OUR FREEDOM’. Our father of democracy, Mr Nelson Mandela, once coined a poignant phrase; “For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that RESPECTS AND ENHANCES the FREEDOM of others”.
We at understand this phrase and gives it, its due respect. We have parallel journeys, which has been a challenging one, very much like that of our country’s. We share a common history, similar rise from a disadvantaged life, fought hard for every achievement, capitalising on every opportunity presented before us.
27 April is a day to celebrate ‘US’ our patriotic spirit, our ‘uBUNTU’ the love for our fellow South Africans, our ‘RESILIENCE’ on how we bounce back from every failure. This golden thread of ‘RESPECT’ and enhancing the freedom of others, is a main feature in our daily activities. We live in a way in which enhances the ‘FREEDOM’ of others? In aligning our past with our present and paying it forward into our foreseeable future, we honour every day as ‘FREEDOM DAY’ at MediaPlatform, we connect, we share, we empower, we uplift; believing that an ‘opportunity created is building respect and enhancing the freedom of others’.
In this relatively young ‘strategic creative think-tank’, women lead the charge on high-end projects demanding high levels of skills from concept to execution. ‘FREEDOM’ to us is ‘equal opportunity’ to lead, to manage, to spearhead, to be given the opportunity to ‘create and be creative’. The ‘FREEDOM’ to bring your ‘Uniqueness’ to add to the company’s cultural ethos, growing us organically in achieving set goals. Enhancing the freedom of others, a huge part of who we are, is where we come from and what it is, that truly defines us going forward, this being our openness to ‘Transformation’. We are passionate about ‘Transforming Lives’ and we do this through collaborative initiatives with various public private partnerships, providing internships through the company and identified project programs for possible interns. This for us is the ‘real essence of FREEDOM’.
